Facial Reflexology

Facial Reflexology

A deeply relaxing 25-minute treatment for your face, your nervous system and your wellbeing

Facial Reflexology is a gentle yet precise therapy that works reflex points and areas of the face using the hands.

Just as with traditional reflexology, the face is used as a map through which different reflex areas of the body are worked. The treatment combines reflexology techniques with gentle massage movements, creating an experience that is both deeply relaxing and wonderfully nurturing for the skin.

It is a beautiful treatment to enjoy as part of your InSPArational Signature Reset, or as an add-on to selected facial treatments when you would like a little more time to relax and receive.

What is Facial Reflexology?

Facial Reflexology is a specialist form of reflexology where specific reflex points and areas of the face are worked using gentle, controlled pressure and precise movements.

The technique I use works across the face rather than simply being a facial massage. It incorporates reflexology principles alongside an understanding of the muscles, fascia, nerves and lymphatic structures of the face.

The treatment is designed to encourage relaxation, support circulation and lymphatic flow, and leave you feeling calm, grounded and cared for.

There is also something quite special about working on the face.

The face is highly innervated and closely connected with the nervous system, so the gentle, rhythmic nature of the treatment can create a wonderful sense of stillness and relaxation.

And, of course, your face gets to benefit too — leaving the skin looking refreshed, rested and naturally glowing.

How will I feel?

Most people find facial reflexology deeply relaxing.

You may notice that your breathing naturally slows, your facial muscles soften and your mind becomes quieter as the treatment progresses.

Some people simply drift into a very relaxed state, while others remain aware of the treatment but feel wonderfully calm and grounded.

Afterwards, you may feel:

  • deeply relaxed and calmer

  • less facial and jaw tension

  • refreshed and clear-headed

  • grounded and present

  • that lovely feeling of having properly switched off

  • a natural, healthy glow to the skin

What happens during your treatment?

Your facial reflexology treatment lasts approximately 25 minutes.

If you are having it as part of another treatment, I will already have completed your consultation and checked that it is appropriate for you.

You will be made comfortable on the treatment bed before I begin the facial reflexology sequence.

Using my fingers and thumbs, I work specific reflex points and areas across the face with a combination of gentle pressure, circular movements and precise techniques.

The pressure is adapted to you. Reflexology should never be painful, and I want you to feel comfortable and relaxed throughout.

At the end, you will have a little time to come back into the room gently and enjoy how you feel before continuing with the rest of your treatment.

Who is Facial Reflexology for?

Facial reflexology can be a lovely choice if you:

  • feel stressed, mentally busy or overwhelmed

  • carry tension in your face, forehead or jaw

  • spend a lot of time looking at screens

  • want some quiet time to properly switch off

  • enjoy holistic therapies but don't want a full-body treatment

  • would like to experience reflexology without having your feet worked on

  • want to add a relaxing wellbeing element to a facial

  • simply love having your face treated!

It can also be a wonderful treatment to choose when you don't necessarily need a specific outcome — sometimes you just need a little time where somebody else is looking after you.

When might Facial Reflexology not be suitable?

As with any treatment, there are times when facial reflexology may need to be adapted, postponed or avoided.

Please let me know during your consultation if you have:

  • an active skin infection or contagious skin condition

  • broken or damaged skin in areas that would be treated

  • an active cold sore

  • a recent facial procedure, surgery, injectable treatment or other aesthetic treatment

  • significant inflammation, swelling or unexplained changes to the face

  • an eye infection or other acute facial or eye condition

  • any new or undiagnosed symptoms affecting the face

If you are pregnant, have a medical condition or are currently undergoing medical treatment, please let me know when booking so that I can make sure the treatment is appropriate for you.

If in doubt, we can always discuss it before your appointment.

Facial Reflexology is a complementary wellbeing treatment. It does not diagnose medical conditions, replace medical treatment or claim to cure illness.

How can I enjoy Facial Reflexology?

Facial Reflexology can be enjoyed in a few different ways at InSPArations.

As part of your InSPArational Signature Reset

Facial Reflexology can be incorporated into your Signature Reset as part of your personalised treatment, depending on what feels right for you on the day.

As part of a Holistic Treatment — 60, 90 or 120 minutes

Facial and foot reflexology can be combined with the other holistic therapies within a 60, 90 or 120-minute Holistic Treatment.

Combining facial and foot reflexology can be particularly lovely, giving you a complete reflexology experience from head to toe.

Your treatment can be adapted around what you need on the day — sometimes that's more skin-focused, sometimes more restorative, and sometimes you simply need to lie down and let somebody else take care of you for a while.

As an add-on to a facial

If you're having one of my facial treatments, you can add 25 minutes of Facial Reflexology for £25 to bring an additional wellbeing element to your treatment.

This is focused specifically on the reflexology and massage elements, making it a lovely addition without turning it into another facial treatment.
